Before we start this course, we will first look at what is covered during the training. The course is divided into categories, and within each category, you will find several videos. You can pause and watch again any of the videos in the course. We update our courses regularly, and you will be able to see any replacements and also any new videos as they are released. This may be an online course, but if you have any questions during the course, you can contact us by phone, email, or use our online chat facility on any of our websites. You work through the course videos in order. And now we will give you an overview of what is contained in the course.

In the first section, we look at first aid regulations and discuss the functions of the human body. We then look at fears of first aid, scene safety, DRAB and the ABCDs, how to use face shields, initial assessment and the recovery position. We then look at respiration, breathing and pulse points. In cardiac arrest and CPR, we cover many different subjects, including adult CPR, drowning, compression-only CPR, improving compressions and breaths, and effective CPR. Heart attack and choking are also covered.

Bleeding control is another category included in the First Aid at Work course, demonstrating how to deal with serious external bleeding. We will also cover dealing with catastrophic bleeding control and the use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressings. The final category within this course will inform you of subjects such as epilepsy, allergic reactions, burns and minor injury care.
